A little bit, yeah. Your dad dead, too?

::Gosh, Max, that's super gentle of you::

no that's cheating

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Vinnie shrugged, glancing away.]

No idea. We parted ways back when I was an Ivysaur. Haven't ever seen him since, and probably never will.

This isn't really here

I'M PRETTY SURE I HAVE HIM IN A COMPUTER SOMEWHERE, DON'T WORRY.

This is

[identity profile] tank-rockarms.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. I guess bein' a pokemon's different than bein' a human. My dad died when I was 12. Thought maybe yours had done somethin' like that, too.

fewer sobs

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
It is pretty different from growin' up as a human, but not really like that. Ditching their kids is more of a Charizard thing, apparently. Bulbs and Ivys stay with their Venusaur for a long time. Family's the most important thing in the world to a Saur.

I demand more tears for my tear-powered time-machine

[identity profile] tank-rockarms.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
So, did you leave your dad when you joined up with Red, then?

but where would you travel in this device

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
No, it was a few seasons before.

into the past to buy 10000 shares of citibank when it was trading for about 10 cents a share

[identity profile] tank-rockarms.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
If you don't mind me askin', why'd you leave?

aw but I wanted a pet dinosaur

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[Vinnie scratched his head.]

Y'know, dumb decisions you make when you're a teenager 'bout doing the right thing.

I need student loans paid off, sorry

[identity profile] tank-rockarms.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, like me joinin' the army.

What'd you decide to do? Was that when you decided that smashin' up other people's stuff was a good idea?

but I have a front yard that needs guarding

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-05-26 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[Okay, now he was starting to sound a little agitated.]

Hey. I decided I needed t'fight to protect my home, just like you. I never said it was the smart choice, but it's the one I made.

too bad, it's my tear-powered time machine; now start crying

[identity profile] tank-rockarms.livejournal.com 2011-05-27 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Alright, alright, sheesh, you're thin-skinned, you know that? Everything ain't an attack.

::This is coming from Max. What. Have you done.::

but they're all MY tears powering your machine

[identity profile] punchtheflowers.livejournal.com 2011-05-27 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
I just don't like talkin' about it, okay? It's not really something I'm proud of.

Besides, I just came here t'drop off a keyboard. I dunno how my dad came up, I haven't talked 'bout him for a while...

Yeah well, tough cookies; get to crying

[identity profile] tank-rockarms.livejournal.com 2011-05-28 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, well, don't talk about mine much, either. ::shrug::

I should probably go with my mom to visit his grave on Veteran's Day. Ain't done that in awhile.
