I got back in late last night. Didn't think anybody'd be up but I met that ghost guy, Doo-Liss, and he challenged me to an arm wrestlin' contest. I took him up on that, even though I was tired and I had pine needles in my hair and probably down my shorts, too. I'm always up for a challenge, right? ((OUTCOME OF SAID MATCH UP TBD))

Thought I'd only be gone for like a week, but it turned into two and a half. Sorry if anybody was worried or anything.

Sorry I woke you up last night when I bumped into the desk a couple times, Grit. But it was good to see you, too. Sorry I made a mess of stuff, and that I smelled like pine needles and sweat and mud and I didn't tell you when I'd be back for sure.

I spent the last two weeks out in the woods, roughin' it. You know, swimmin' in streams and catchin' fish with your bare hands for breakfast and sleepin' on rocks with a lean-to made outta pine branches and seein' how many heavy boulders I can lift and run up hills with and stuff. Got some good work done on my lats that way. The calves, too.

Hey, Bulba, Blastoise, if you guys have got Slowpoke I can probably take him back now.

I'm still feelin' out of it. But I can't solve my problems with runnin' away, that ain't me.

So, anything happen while I was gone or did you guys just sit around and do nothin' while I was out? Andy, Jake, you guys up to anything while I was gone?

Hey Max - welcome homw, buddy.

The weight room is looking good - It's been in use a lot of the time, but I kept everything running and cleaned.

Hope you had a great time away!

Thanks for keepin' things tidy, Knuckles.

A messy weightroom's a good way to get somebody hurt.

I think I had a good time, yeah. I kept busy. I'm as sore as heck right now, but that's a good feelin' for me.

Nothing wrong with being sore from a few weeks of training in the wilderness. Running up hills with boulders was always a favorite for me back home - then rolling them to the bottom and starting all over again. Or, even more fun, trying to carry the boulder DOWN the hill. There's a lot of skill in that because*Insert more rambling about how Knuckles spent most of his youth playing with rocks and sticks. Giant rocks and sticks made of whole trees.*

Yeah, good times.

Though, uh, when I was about... 14 was it? Yeah, 14. When I was 14 I was all hands and feet and really long arms and legs, sorta had a little baby fat around the edges. I couldn't pull this sort of stuff off until I got older.

You're, uh... I don't have any idea what it is you are, Knuckles. Your people? Your kind? Your type? Man, I don't know. Your type must turn into adults quickly.

People or Kind works just fine... I guess by human standards I'd be considered an animal, though, I've never thought of myself as one, I guess. (If that makes sense.)

And actually, I don't really know how fast we grow up! I never had anything to compare myself to, growing up alone so... y'know. I had no real concept of what I could and couldn't do at any age so I just did whatever took my fancy at the time and if I couldn't do it at first, I'd just keep trying till I could. Mostly I'd get ideas from the creatures around me and so... y'know. See a mole dig, I learned to dig. See a bird fly, learn to fly.

Well, it's more of a Glide than flying. But depending on where I am, I can catch wind currents or thermals to gain altitude, so, it's almost like flying. I can go really long distances, whenever the terrain allows.

Hey Knuckles, hey, I just challenged Captain Falcon to a "lets carry boulders up a hill" contest. Are you in? I want you there.
